The Goodyear-Zeppelin Corporation was formed in 1923 as a partnership between the Goodyear Corporation and the Zeppelin Company to build rigid-frame airships in the United States. The company built an enormous hangar in Wingfoot Lake, near Akron Ohio, for this purpose.
